Women in business are invited to attend a Business SuperPOWer connection event organized by the Women in Business Group. The group is hosted by the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“This is a great opportunity for women in business to connect and learn from each other,” says Karen Leatherman, SBTDC business development specialist. “It’s essentially a quick business matchmaking. We want to connect someone who has a business skill or area of expertise with someone who wants to learn more about it, and vice-versa.”
The registration form includes a section for attendees to designate a business skill they have and a business area they seek to improve upon.
The Business SuperPOWer connection event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, at Columbia College, 550 Blues Lake Parkway in Rolla, Missouri. The seminar fee is $10, which includes lunch. Registration is required.
The Women in Business group provides women with access to business resources, training, networking and a forum to test out new ideas. It is hosted by the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
